Andrea Kuipers
Board Member

Andrea joined the Tea Area School Board in 2026 and brings a passion for community involvement, student success, and service to families. She earned a degree in Social Work from the University of Sioux Falls and spent more than eight years working in child welfare before becoming self-employed and helping operate several family businesses.

Since moving to Tea in 2010, Andrea has become actively involved in the community and has served on organizations including Junior Achievement, Tea Economic Development, the Tea Chamber Board, and CASA. She believes strong schools are essential to a thriving community and chose to serve on the school board to help support the district's commitment to academic excellence while preparing students for success in college, technical careers, and life.

Andrea and her husband are raising four daughters in the Tea Area School District: Joslyn, Jada, Janessa, and Jordyn. With daughters involved in soccer, volleyball, basketball, and track, much of the family's time is spent supporting activities and cheering from the sidelines. When they are not attending sporting events, they enjoy traveling, spending time outdoors, and making memories with family and friends.

Andrea enjoys hiking, paddleboarding, fishing, gardening, reading, cooking, and staying active.
